Security researchers warn of return associated with the twitter spam attacks that attempt to install malicious software that masquerades as anti-virus on the victim PC.
Websense Security Labs said in a posting to his blog, that there are emails that are designed to send a notification to reset the password twitter. The spam contains a link that will lead to a dangerous website, when clicked or copied out to the browser, they will ask users to download malicious executable file named 'password.exe'.Exe files it was counterfeit, he will be disguised as anti-virus software is software called Center Safebrowser (Safebrowser Protection Center).
This file has been created to appear as the original by giving warnings / alerts to users that they have found dangerous files on the desktop.
Waahh .. too well that many malicious software attacking sites that trend. Last I read there are also attacking the Yahoo Messenger. I'm just suggesting that we as users to be more careful.
